This amazing opal was found on the 24th of February 2005, 81 kilometres north west of Quilpie at the Bill Mine. The Horizon was found at a depth of 17 feet below the surface, under the desert sandstone. The Horizon is on display in our store window in Katoomba. This is a very rare piece of museum quality. This is one amazing opal to see close up.
